Shopping over the weekend through today

I wanted to add this picture because I thought the packaging was cute. I won this in a sweepstakes and received it today. It is a necklace made out of a Diet Coke can. Notice the bow held in place by the tab and the card that the necklace is being held to is a crimped section of the Coke box.

7/18 Wags, CVS, Schnucks usual round on Friday night!

DD and I went and saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D using free movie tickets from all that cereal and fruit snacks I bought. Cost was $9.50 for medium popcorn and 2 drinks. Movie wasn't too bad, kind of like watching a video game come to life.

Afterwards, went to Wags.

2 HP $1 each
6 melamine bowls $1 each
4 Sure deodorant all free + overage (0.02)
4 Cutter bug spray all free + overage (2.00)
2 Papermate Mechanical pencils @ 0.39 each.

BC $39.94 AC $4.05 (using GC from rebates - rolling the dollars!)

CVS was next on the list

2 Lamisilk foot care to smooth my rough feet! These alone are over $20 but with sale and B1G1 free Q, I paid $2.50 each.
4 Herbal Essences @ 1.00 each
4 Sally Hansen nail polish free
2 Garnier hair dye @ .99 each
3 Werther's were supposed to be .25 each, but 2 Q's didn't get scanned. I've missed out on a few dollars this week alone on coupons that didn't take and I didn't catch!

BC $33.23 AC $11.65 used 10 ecb paid $1.65 oop.

Last stop of the night, Schnucks.

7 Mrs. T's Perogis @ $0.49 each. Never had them... hoped they were worth the $3+ I spent! I have 13 more Q's if they are good!
6 Scotties tissues. No Q's. On sale for $1. Need them for school supplies.
1 Clearsil Ultra face cleaner. Runs about $7.50. After sale and Q $1.79. Stocking up for tween years that DD is entering.
BC $20.22 AC $11.91 for 14 items.

Friday night totals:

I bought $93.39 worth of products. Used $70.18 in coupons, paid 4.40 in tax for a total oop of $17.61, savings of 81%.

My running grand total is $3701 purchased, $1728 in Q's, 112 in tax, total oop is $1172 which seems really high, but for 15 weeks, I am averaging $78 a week / $338 month. I want to drop that another $100 or so a month.

7/5/08 Schnucks and Wags

Against my better judgement, I went to a different Schnucks thinking today was last day of sale. In the end, it was worth the trip but I think I am getting way too much stuff, if that is possible!!! I checked the dates of the Planters products and they are good for over a year, so I think it is only a matter of storage space. Never had I realized the saving potential of using coupons. I've never in my life had such a supply and it is quite nice to know that I'm not going to run out of anything in the immediate future.

Walgreens

I've been looking for some good deals on deodorant that wasn't marketed towards men... Brut isn't my thang! Wags also had a good deal on some items that are in the ESR booklet.

In the end, all my deodorant was free (I made $0.02). Woolite and Spray and Wash were $2.50 each but I will get back $4.40 from the ESR. Not pictured is a Sally Hansen lip gloss for my DD that was clearance priced at 50 cents.

Total
$17.46 - $11.98 Sure coupons - $3.50 register receipts + 1.22 tax = $3.20 oop which I paid for with my Wags giftcard (rebate money). I will get back $4.40 on that giftcard. Net profit of $1.20.

Schnucks

Planters x 3 free plus overage
Koolaid x 9
Bread and bananas because we needed them
2 Helluva dips in the right size... $0.25 each. I've never tried this dip but heard that it was good.
Chips to go with the dip...

Total
$16.89 - 10.50 in coupons - $4 cat from last Planters deal = $2.39.
Got back another $4 catalina. Net profit $1.61.
